File Types We Accept

Page Layouts
When sending page layout files ALL associated art, photos and logos must also accompany the lay-out files.  In addition ALL fonts must be included as well; failure to include all fonts used will result in changes to the layout.

Microsoft Word* .doc .txt
Adobe InDesign CS2  .indd
Quark Express 6.5  .qxd
Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0  .pdf

*We can NOT print directly from Microsoft Word files.  Word files are used primarily for supplying text that we use in the other two page layout programs.  Any files sent in Word will be rebuilt in either Quark or InDesign.

Graphic Art
All photos, clip art, scans or logos must be at least 300 dpi in resolution, anything lower will result in poor quality or unprintable art.  All color files must be CMYK or PMS spot, any RGB files sent must be converted to CMYK which will cause a noticeable color shift.

Media
We are Mac based, we accept CDs and DVDs as well as USB jump drives.We no longer support floppys or Zip disks. You can always send us e-mail with the files attached.

PDFs
If you are proficient in creating PDFs that have the correct resolution and color management we can accept them.

File types we can not accept

Powerpoint

• We cannot print from or use any elements used in a PowerPoint file.

Excel

• Any Excel files must be exported as a text (txt) file.  This will remove all formatting and will require art charges to re-format the information.         

Freehand & Corel

• We do not support native Freehand or Corel files.  Files must be exported as an EPS with all fonts changed to outline, with all clip art/photos/logos supplied along with the EPS file.

PageMaker

• PageMaker files (if usable) will incur art charges to convert to InDesign files.  All fonts/clip art/photos/logos must be supplied along with the PageMaker file.
